Juan Antonio D.Alamo of Zamora has been diagnosed today with a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and is now set for surgery. The operation will follow in the next few days before starting on the rehab. 20th January, 2021.
Valen at Calavera will have to undergo surgery to undergo surgery for a torn medial meniscus in his right knee. 15th January, 2021.
David Carmona of Betis Deportivo is out of the team for the next few weeks, having sustained a sprain of the lateral collateral ligament of the left knee during the match with Córdoba. 14th January, 2021.
Moisés García of Hércules de Alicante has been ruled out for several weeks with a tear of the soleus muscle in his right calf. 13th January, 2021.

Javi Flores of Córdoba sustained an injury to both the sartorius muscle and the abductor of his left hip and thigh in training. 22nd December, 2020
Mario García of Mirandés 'B' is out of action with a displaced fracture of the distal tibia and fibula - the bones that form the upper part of the ankle joint. The medical team will assess his recovery. 21st December, 2020
Cantera player Jesús Gil of Ebro’s Juvenil B side sustained a fractured fibula this weekend and will require surgery. It’s a common football injury and he’ll start on the post-op rehabilitation as soon as possible. 20th December, 2020
Edu Cortina of Mérida, who tore his ACL against Extremadura a fortnight ago, has now had his surgery. As always, the focus from now on will be on the rehab. 18th December, 2020
There’s been a few injuries at Guijuelo recently. Dan Ojog has an ACL tear, Lolo Plá (who played at Cádiz on loan a few seasons ago) has undergone surgery on a calcific patella tendon, Jonathan Martín is out with a muscle strain and Manu Molina is working back to fitness after a metatarsal bone fracture. 16th December, 2020.
There was a double head injury scenario at the weekend with Navalcarnero's Jesús de Miguel having stitches in his upper lip and Dani de Moral 7 stitches to his right eyebrow following an accident towards the end of the game at Inter de Madrid. The incident was well managed by the home club who organised for both players to be immediately taken by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation and treatment, which included stitches for facial wounds and a thorough examination of the head injuries sustained before both were released. 14th December, 2020.
Inter were praised for the way they handled the situation and another Madrid club - AD Parla - commented that ''moments like this allow the Madrid football community the chance to demonstrate the strength of unity between clubs. First thoughts are always with players and their families'', reinforcing that this is the approach taken between clubs in situations like this. 14th December, 2020.
Miki Muñoz missed Burgos' match with Lealtad de Villaviciosa at the weekend due to muscular overload. 13th December, 2020.
A season-ending injury sustained by Rubi at AD Parla means that surgery and a long rehab period lie ahead after tearing the ACL in his right knee, 12th November, 2020.
The season is all but over for Ander Blanco at Sestao River Club who has torn the ACL in his left knee and requires surgery, 12th November, 2020.
At Hércules de Alicante Javier Acuña is out of training this week due to a torn plantar fascia in the sole of his right foot. He's already been reviewed by Dr Mariano de Prado in Murcia who has confirmed the diagnosis. Javier will continue treatment but Pedro Sánchez has been cleared of injury and is instead reported to be suffering from muscular overload.
The Asturian club Marino de Luanco, who play in Segunda B Group 1, have lost Guille Pinin with an ACL rupture in his right knee. He’s now awaiting surgery and will begin the appropriate rehabilitation thereafter. 20th October, 2020
Bad news for Isi Ros at Badajoz, who has torn the ACL in his left knee and is now being scheduled for surgery. 19th October, 2020.
Still on ACLs, Raúl Hernández of Numancia tore the ACL in his right knee in a training accident earlier this month.
Baba Cissé at Marbella who injured his right knee recently in the friendly with Linares, has undergone tests at Hospital Ochoa to determine the full extent of his injury. 14th October 2020.
Also in Marbella, Javi Añon has been working on rehab following some localised discomfort in the adductor longus muscle of his left hip and groin. He’s hoping for a quick recovery though.
Joel López at Compostela tore his ACL last month and had surgery soon afterwards. He's now getting down to his rehab. Having the op is often the easy part and it's the rehab that follows which requires dedication and self-discipline. Updated 14th October, 2020
Jose Vela of Castilleja sustained a meniscus injury of the knee in September for which surgery was required.
At Córdoba, Manolo Luque is working his way back to fitness after a meniscus operation.
Deportivo de la Coruña's Álex Bergantiños has had an intensive close-season with ongoing rehabilitation following an injury to the biceps femoris muscles of the hamstring group, sustained on the 19th July 2020. As did Peru Nolaskoain, following a distortion injury to the ankle, sustained in the match against Rayo Vallecano on the 20th June 2020
Numancia also had a busy time, with Marc Mateu undergoing rehabilitation following an injury to the hamstring muscle sustained last season in the match against Extremadura on the 5th July, 2020. Technically, there's also Alex Sola, having ongoing rehabilitation following surgery to repair a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), sustained on 5th July, 2020 in the match against Extremadura; although rehab is being handled at parent club Real Sociedad.
Meanwhile, Racing de Santander will be without Enzo Lombardo for the greater part of this season as he continues his rehabilitation following surgery to repair a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). This was sustained on 24th June, 2020 in Racing's match against Ponferradina while on loan from Real Mallorca.
